QUESTIONS TO CONSIDER BEFORE TALKING TO YOUR DOCTOR
What you need to know to help your doctor find the right vision correction for you

If you think you may have astigmatism, visit your eye doctor today to get an eye exam and find the best vision correction for you. To help your eye doctor understand your concerns, it’s best to be prepared before you go. Below are some questions to consider before your visit.

If You’re Interested in Contact Lenses...

Q. What is astigmatism?
A. Astigmatism is a very common condition occurring when the shape of the eye is slightly irregular. As a result, your vision may still be blurry when corrected with regular contact lenses. Some toric lenses may cause vision to blur during the following activities: using a computer, or while watching fast-paced activities.

Q. Can an astigmatic lens be comfortable and provide me with clear vision during my daily activities?
A. Absolutely. There have been breakthroughs in astigmatic lenses recently that allow crisp, clear vision without sacrificing comfort or health. This means that you can now experience clear, stable vision even in challenging situations, while enjoying greater moisture, greater comfort, and the highest level of UV-blocking.

Q. Are you hesitant about putting lenses on your eye?
A. Don't be. Many people have the same apprehension. Your doctor and staff are trained to make this quite easy. Tools have also been developed for you to get acquainted with and get used to handling contact lenses.

If You Want a Better Contact Lens...

Q. I feel like I am “tolerating” my current lenses, is there anything better out there?
A. There are new lenses available that cater to the needs of today’s highly demanding lifestyle. Whether long hours in front of the computer, frequent travel, dry environments, or complications due to allergies are more than your current lenses can handle, there is a lens out there that is right for you.

Q. Are the latest astigmatic lenses more comfortable?
A. Yes. There have been breakthroughs in astigmatic lenses recently that allow crisp, clear vision without sacrificing comfort or health. No longer do you, as an astigmatic patient, have to rely on hard or gas permeable lenses. Soft lenses are now available. This means that you can now enjoy greater moisture, greater comfort, and the highest level of UV-blocking without compromising vision.

Q. Can astigmatic lenses provide me with the vision I need for activities?
A. Absolutely. Again, breakthroughs in design mean that you no longer have to compromise between comfort and clear, stable vision. Astigmatic lenses even work in challenging situations playing sports, extended computer use, and while lying down watching TV or reading.

Q. Can I try a better pair of contact lenses today?
A. Of course. Ask your doctor to fit you with a pair of the best lenses currently available. Wear them for a week. See for yourself the difference recent advantages in contact lenses have made.

ACUVUE® ADVANCE Brand Contact Lenses block approximately 90% of UV-A rays and 99% of UV-B rays. Helps protect against transmission of harmful UV radiation to the cornea and into the eye. WARNING: UV-absorbing contact lenses are NOT substitutes for protective UV-absorbing eyewear such as UV-absorbing goggles or sunglasses because they do not completely cover the eye and surrounding area. You should continue to use UV-absorbing eyewear as directed. NOTE: Long term exposure to UV radiation is one of the risk factors associated with cataracts. Exposure is based on a number of factors such as environmental conditions (altitude, geography, cloud cover) and personal factors (extent and nature of outdoor activities). UV-blocking contact lenses help provide protection against harmful UV radiation. However, clinical studies have not been done to demonstrate that wearing UV-blocking contact lenses reduces the risk of developing cataracts or other eye disorders. Consult your eye care practitioner for more information.

If for any reason you are not 100% satisfied with ACUVUE® ADVANCE, return them within 90 days and get your money back. See certificate for details.
