A two year study revealed that key physiological measures related to lens comfort improved significantly when people switched from their current contact lens brand to ACUVUE® OASYS™ Brand Contact Lenses.

Smoothness

Smoothness

HYDRACLEAR® Plus technology mixes the wetting agent into the lens formula itself, making them feel so smooth and slick, you'll barely know they're there.

Wettability (HYDRACLEAR® Plus)

Wettability (HYDRACLEAR® Plus)

Lenses with HYDRACLEAR® Plus wetting technology are better than other brands at mimicking the naturally smooth way your tears cover the surface of your eye. That means you get a feeling that's almost like you're not wearing lenses at all.

Wettability (HYDRACLEAR®)

Wettability (HYDRACLEAR®)

Wettability Lenses with HYDRACLEAR® wetting technology are better than a leading brand at mimicking the naturally smooth way your tears cover the surface of your eye. That means you get all-day moisture, for all-day comfort.

Smoothness

Smoothness

LACREON™ technology creates a cushion of moisture that stays right where you want it. The result is 47% less friction and more moisture that won't blink away so your eyelids will glide comfortably over the lens all day.

Wettability

Wettability

Some lens makers just add a wetting agent to the packing solution so when you blink over the course of the day, a little bit gets wiped away. LACREON™ technology mixes the wetting agent into the lens formula itself. It won't blink away over time, giving you a fresh lens feeling at the end of the day.

ASD vs Ballast design

ASD vs Ballast design

Unlike ballast designs that have a single zone of stability at the bottom of lenses, Accelerated Stabilization Design (ASD) uses four zones of stability to help keep lenses right where they need to be.

Gravity affects gravity less

Gravity affects gravity less

A clinical study showed that lenses with Accelerated Stabilization Design (ASD) maintained orientation almost 3 times better than two leading lenses with a ballast design at a 90 degree head position. That means in situations such as lying down to watch your favorite show, your vision can be more consistent and clear.

ASD lenses rotate less

ASD lenses rotate less

Advanced eye-tracking technology has shown that lenses with Accelerated Stabilization Design (ASD) are more stable and have less rotation than a leading lens with a ballast design. The result is consistently clearer vision, from scanning text on a computer screen to playing ball with your buddies.

More stability with ASD

More stability with ASD

A clinical study versus two leading brands concluded that lenses with Accelerated Stabilization Design (ASD) provided greater stability when people look in many directions. As you can see, the lens with ASD rotates less than ballast lenses when looking in many different directions. So no matter if you move your eyes up, down, from side to side, or somewhere in-between, your vision can be consistent and clear.

What is depth of field?

What is depth of field?

Depth of field is the portion of an object or scene that appears in focus. As you can see, when you focus close up, the background is not in focus. And when you focus far away the foreground is not in focus. STEREO PRECISION TECHNOLOGY™ works with this natural function of the eye to provide balanced vision near, far, and in-between.

Breathability

Breathability

Dk, or oxygen permeability, is the rate that oxygen can flow through a contact lens. Dk/t, or oxygen transmissibility, determines how much oxygen gets through a lens of a particular thickness. As you can see, these leading silicone hydrogel contact lens brands all allow nearly 100% of available oxygen to get to the eye.

UV Protection

UV Protection

Contact lenses that offer high levels of protection against UV rays are labeled as either Class I or Class II. Class I lenses block at least 90% of UVA and 99% of UVB rays while Class II block at least 70% of UVA and 95% of UVB rays. All ACUVUE® OASYS™ Brand and ACUVUE® ADVANCE® Brand lenses are classified as Class I while all other ACUVUE® Brands are classified as Class II. ACUVUE® Brand is the only brand that offers UV protection across its entire line of products.

Important information for contact lens wearers: ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses are available by prescription only for vision correction. An eye doctor will determine whether contact lenses are right for you. Although rare, serious eye problems can develop while wearing contact lenses. To help avoid these problems, follow the wear and replacement schedule and the lens care instructions provided by your eye doctor. Do not wear contact lenses if you have an eye infection, or experience eye discomfort, excessive tearing, vision changes, redness or other eye problems. If one of these conditions occurs, contact your eye doctor immediately. For more information on proper wear, care and safety, talk to your eye doctor, call 1-800-843-2020 or download the Patient Instruction Guide.

‡ Helps protect against transmission of harmful UV radiation to the cornea and into the eye. WARNING: UV-absorbing contact lenses are NOT substitutes for protective UV-absorbing eyewear such as UV-absorbing goggles or sunglasses because they do not completely cover the eye and surrounding area. You should continue to use UV-absorbing eyewear as directed. NOTE: Long-term exposure to UV radiation is one of the risk factors associated with cataracts. Exposure is based on a number of factors such as environmental conditions (altitude, geography, cloud cover) and personal factors (extent and nature of outdoor activities). UV-blocking contact lenses help provide protection against harmful UV radiation. However, clinical studies have not been done to demonstrate that wearing UV-blocking contact lenses reduces the risk of developing cataracts or other eye disorders. Consult your eye care practitioner for more information.
