We're built different

Keeping things comfy is a science

Invisible Edge Design

Every ACUVUE® lens is built with Invisible Edge Design for comfort. This means your eyelids slide seamlessly over the lens (as opposed to blinking over a blunt edge).

Long-Lasting Hydration

Unlike lenses that achieve wettability through coatings, ACUVUE® builds Moisture Locking Technology into the lens and all the way to the surface. This holds moisture throughout and helps keep your lenses feeling fresh.†

UV-Blocking Technology

Give your eyes the protection they deserve. All ACUVUE® Brand contact lenses contain UV-blocking technology and help shield the eyes from harmful UV radiation§.

Lenses to love

ACUVUE® makes lenses that are designed to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and much more. Take the quiz to see which lenses might be best for you.

FAQ

Do I have to choose between contacts and glasses?

It’s always a good idea to have both glasses and contact lenses. While contact lenses aren’t a replacement for glasses, they can give you more freedom throughout your day in a number of ways – they don’t smudge, break, or get in the way of sports.

How do I get contact lenses?

All you have to do is schedule an appointment with your eye doctor. If you don’t have one, use our free clinic finder to find an eye care professional near you. Be sure to tell them it’s for a contact lens fitting (not just a regular eye exam) when scheduling.

Can the lens get stuck behind my eye?
Short answer, no. Long answer, it's impossible for contact lenses to get behind your eye because a membrane called the conjunctiva covers the white part of the eye and connects to the inside of the eyelid.
Are contact lenses comfortable to wear?

ACUVUE® is all about comfort, with our super comfy contact lenses that let you come through. We’re so sure you’ll love your ACUVUE® lenses, we guarantee it with our Comfort Promise .

Can I sleep in my contact lenses?

Whether you use daily disposable or monthly contact lenses, always be sure to remove your contact lenses before bed (unless you have special contact lenses approved for overnight wear).

How much do contact lenses cost?
Contact lenses can be surprisingly affordable, especially if you have vision insurance. The cost can vary depending on what you and your eye doctor decide is best. But overall, ACUVUE® lenses are great value for great comfort.
Can I wear makeup with contact lenses?
Yes! Put your lenses in first, then do your thing with any kind of makeup you like.
Can I swim with my contact lenses?

No – we know it’s hard to go without your ACUVUE® contact lenses, but swimming and contacts don’t mix. Water isn’t sterile and can contain eye infection-causing bacteria and other harmful microbes.

Footnotes

^Based on a survey of 951 Eye Care Professionals from the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, South Korea, China, France, and Germany conducted between 10/2024 to 11/2024.

§Helps protect against transmission of harmful UV radiation to the cornea and into the eye.

WARNING: UV-absorbing contact lenses are NOT substitutes for protective UV-absorbing eyewear such as UV-absorbing goggles or sunglasses because they do not completely cover the eye and surrounding area. You should continue to use UV-absorbing eyewear as directed. NOTE: Long-term exposure to UV radiation is one of the risk factors associated with cataracts. Exposure is based on a number of factors such as environmental conditions (altitude, geography, cloud cover) and personal factors (extent and nature of outdoor activities). UV-blocking contact lenses help provide protection against harmful UV radiation. However, clinical studies have not been done to demonstrate that wearing UV-blocking contact lenses reduces the risk of developing cataracts or other eye disorders. Consult your eye care practitioner for more information.

Important Safety Information For Contact Lens Wearers: ACUVUE® Contact Lenses are available by prescription only for vision correction. An eye care professional will determine whether contact lenses are right for you. Although rare, serious eye problems can develop while wearing contact lenses. To help avoid these problems, follow the wear and replacement schedule and the lens care instructions provided by your eye doctor. Do not wear contact lenses if you have an eye infection, or experience eye discomfort, excessive tearing, vision changes, redness or other eye problems. If one of these conditions occurs, remove the lens and contact your eye doctor immediately. For more information on proper wear, care and safety, talk to your eye care professional, call 1-800-843-2020, or download the Patient Instruction Guides.
