It appears as though I always get unlucky with my left lenses. I am nearsighted and am required to wear corrective lenses for everyday life: driving, working, etc. I have a prescription for each eye and every set of boxes I buy, I always have at least one left lense missing from a case... it's completely empty. Some don't even come with liquid! Or instead of missing, a couple of times I've gotten ones with a tiny tear on the edge of the lense, or it is uncomfortable from the very first use ( it feels like there's an eyelash in my eye) regardless of how well I clean it before inserting. This is a quality control issue that I've come to expect at this rate. I've used this brand for 2 or 3 years now and it's always the same: only ever trouble with the left lenses so that at the end of the box I have 2 or 3 right eye lenses left but no lefts anymore. Since I buy the ones that are good for 2 weeks of wear and I get a year's worth of supplies at a time, naturally this upsets me because it's an all around waste. My money, time, and the product! I'm stuck with a month's worth of right lenses and have to go buy more left ones which can take a while if I haven't updated my prescription that year. I also don't have glasses to switch to between contacts because they've broken and I've been between insurance plans. It would take as long and cost more to get a new pair. Plus, there's the factor that my active life and job duties (work with kids and run many summer and day camp programs) make it so glasses become a hassle so I greatly prefer contacts.
I've used a few brands but acuvue is the only one my eyes can handle for regular everyday wear because they don't dry up, they're thin and comfortable, they don't have a filmy feeling nor do they feel like thick plastic, and they breathe. My eyes are sensitive and so require loads of moisture (I guess I don't blink often enough) but I've found good saline and wetting drops that work best for my case so that I can wear them comfortably for up to 12 hrs at a time. That's why I put up with this left lense nonsense, so it is worth it for a lifetime contact wearer. Once you find a good fit, you become biased to your brands, haha!
I do wish I could get those lenses replaced easily or compensated in some way. Other than that frustration I do love these lenses,
Yes, I'd recommend this product
