The worst contacts I have ever tried

Review Text:
I ordered these contacts last month, and I really wish I had stuck it out with the trial pair before I paid for a full order because these contacts (both the trial pair and the for at pair out of my order) are completely unwearable after two days. I've tried everything - I compulsively clean them, use rewetting drops, etc., but can't get them to even be moderately comfortable. It feels like something is stuck in my eye and now I'm stuck with them because my insurance wouldn't let me return them and I can't afford to buy new contacts. I'm heartbroken.

Extremely bad experience and thoroughly disappointed

Review Text:
I got Acuvue Vita because it was on my plan and recommended by my optometrist. I've gone through half my 6 months box in less than two months! I've been using acuvue for over 15 years and while these are as comfortable as the brand I've come to rely upon VITA is the worst in terms of durability. They most certainly always tear not lasting more than a two weeks. First experience, my eyes felt like there was debris in them. I ran to cvs bought cleaning solution washed and wore it but no difference. It was sheer torture that entire day. By the time I returned from work, my eyes were watering red. I went straight to my optometrist on my way back, and she informed me that they had torn and to just replace them. AND THATS HOW IT STARTED, fast forward now it happens all the time. I haven't used a pair that's lasted an entire month. I am interested to know, how this is affecting the health and condition of my cornea. I should be glad to email a picture of the lot/batch number of my lenses boxes. Very very disappointed.

Very very pleased

Review Text:
I've been wearing contacts for about a year now and had my yearly appointment a few days ago. I was having trouble with dryness and the contacts being uncomfortable and blurry. The strength of my contacts increased a bit and when I went to fit for the increase they were out of the brand I had been using and gave me Acuvue Vita. These are amazing. So much more comfortable and last morning till night with absolutely no issues. Much more easier to put in also. I hate to even take them out . Very pleased.

Should've stuck with Oasys

Review Text:
Purchased a year's supply of Vita lenses after recommendation by my eye doc. Felt great the first week but eyes started getting red, irritated and dry 2 weeks in. Thought it might be allergies but the next pair is doing the same thing. I've even had to resort to using re-wetting drops to get through the day. Wish I would've stuck with Oasys. Especially since they were a little cheaper!

Work well for my extremely dry eyes

Pros:
comfortable
Cons:
collect deposits
Review Text:
I switched to these after 2 years of wearing Dailies due to extremely dry eyes and discomfort with wearing lenses. The dailies would last me until about 5pm before I had to tear them out of my eyes from the pain. I balked when my doc offered these since I could barely make it a day, how was I going to have contacts last a month? These are incredibly comfortable and barely start to feel dry by the end of the month. These are game changer for me! My one complaint is they seem to collect deposits for the first few days out of the package. I find myself having to remove and clean them multiple times a day for the first few days of each new pair and then it resolves and they are fine for the remainder of the month. I've never had this with other contacts but the rest of the benefits outweigh this little annoyance for me.

Rip and tear second day

Review Text:
I was so excited to try the Acuvue vita! Seem to be like everything I could want. Day one fabulous no problems whatsoever. Day two I wish I could say the same, my left lens had a rip in the center and a torn edge. I couldn't wait until I was able to take them out. I was so sad I was looking forward to it. Back to my old brand.

Frequently dry

Cons:
dry
Review Text:
I've worn soft lenses for twenty years now and I've never in my life had a pair dry out and fall out of my eyes. I'd only been wearing them a few hours and it was a fresh pair- within the first week of opening them. Very atypical, and a shame because I paid $20 more for this box than I usually do.

Pleased

Review Text:
I've worn acuvue oasys dailies before I changed to Acuvue Vita monthlies 4 months ago. I've never had an issue with the Acuvue Vita, can easily wear them for more than a month, but after 6-8 weeks, they show wear and tear (ie. worn out edges). They don't dry out my eyes unless the ac is blasting on my face such as while driving (and I carry around lubricating eye drops for any eventuality, generally i use lubricating eye drops a few times a month).
