Great! What do you need help with?
You’ve come to the right place.
Check out our new wearer guide.
We have many options for existing wearers.

ACUVUE® has been carefully monitoring the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) and, aligned with the Johnson & Johnson Credo, our top priorities are the patients, customers, employees, and communities who are counting on us and using our contact lenses.

We support the guidance provided by public health officials to help prevent the spread of coronavirus by avoiding touching the face and eyes. Contact lenses can be worn safely while preventing potential infection by following proper contact lens care instructions as prescribed by eye care professionals, which include thoroughly washing, cleaning, and drying your hands prior to handling contact lenses.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have more questions about contact lens wear during this time? Check out the frequently asked questions below:

Is there any correlation between wearing contact lenses and the COVID-19?
No, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) states that there is no evidence to suggest contact lens wearers are more at risk for acquiring COVID-19 than eyeglass wearers. People who are healthy can continue to wear and care for their contact lenses as prescribed by their eye care professional. Contact lens users should always follow proper lens wear and care instructions; detailed information can be found under cleaning & care, and safe insertion & removal.

Is it safer to wear glasses than contact lenses?
According the CDC, it may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes, but this is not thought to be the main way the virus spreads. Contact lenses can be worn safely while preventing potential contamination by following proper contact lens care instructions as prescribed by the eye care professionals, which include thoroughly washing, cleaning, and drying your hands prior to handling contact lenses. Detailed instructions can be found here.

Will availability of ACUVUE® contact lenses be impacted?
We have already implemented efforts to ensure we maintain service levels and the safe delivery of products. Our contact lens manufacturing continues to operate at or near normal capacity with only essential personnel staffed and rigorous protocol in place for maintaining the health of these employees. At this time, we are not experiencing product supply shortages related to COVID-19 and will continue to monitor and assess the situation.

I am running low on my contact lenses; how can I order more?
ACUVUE® is continuing to manufacture and supply our contact lenses for you to purchase through your eye doctor, ensuring that you do not run out of your lenses.

While it has been recommended by health organizations to close physical eye doctor offices to limit in-person interaction, most practices are still offering support online, by email, or by phone. Please visit your eye doctor’s website where you may be able to get in touch to reorder your contact lenses or for more information.

Can I still utilize the MyACUVUE® Subscription Program?
Yes, current subscribers will continue to receive their product. Patient modifications to their shipment schedules can be made by calling customer service at 1-800-843-2020, option 3.

Can I still submit for MyACUVUE® Rewards?

What is ACUVUE® doing to help support the coronavirus relief efforts?
Over 1,300 packs of ACUVUE® contact lenses have been donated to medical workers in Wuhan, China. To help physicians and nurses in Wuhan see under their required protective goggles, which can be challenging while also wearing glasses, the ACUVUE® team in China moved quickly to provide packs of disposable prescription contact lenses.

The broader Johnson & Johnson family of companies has contributed in many more ways to the relief efforts including the donation of 1 million surgical masks, 1 million Renminbi to the Chinese Red Cross, and 48,000 bottles of BAND-AID® brand isopropyl alcohol. In addition, our company scientists are hard at work on a potential vaccine to help halt the spread of the coronavirus.

On March 27, 2020 Johnson & Johnson announced a $50 million commitment to support frontline health workers battling COVID-19. The funds will be earmarked for assisting the doctors, nurses, midwives and community health workers who are working tirelessly to treat patients around the world during the novel coronavirus pandemic. This is in addition to Johnson & Johnson’s commitment to donate $250 million over 10 years toward inspiring, recruiting, training, retaining and mobilizing frontline health workers through its Johnson & Johnson Center for Health Worker Innovation.
