Always seeking to elevate the standard of care

Innovation inspired by you

Ever since ACUVUE®️ transformed vision correction in 1988 with the world’s first soft disposable contact lenses, we’ve passionately pursued new technologies and the highest quality standards. We've never slowed in our search for new materials, new formulations and fresh ways to bring people clearer vision, more comfort, and healthier eyes.

Today, millions of people enjoy new levels of vision, comfort, freedom and performance with our patented, advanced- comfort technologies. For people with astigmatism who haven’t been able to wear contact lenses comfortably, there’s our innovative BLINK STABILIZED® Design that has four stabilization zones help keep the lens in place. And there’s PUPIL OPTIMIZED Design Technology, designed to help those with presbyopia see near, far and in between.

Collaboration with eye care professionals

Another way we strive to better vision care around the world is by being a professional resource for eye doctors via the Johnson & Johnson Institute. At the Institute in Jacksonville, FL, current and future eye doctors learn about the latest in vision diagnostic and treatment technologies through hands- on instruction and real- world scenarios.

Specifically designed to complement the curricula of the top optometry schools in the country, the Institute offers courses in technical training, decision- making, group problem solving, and patient communication skills. Working together, our goal is to help them provide the best, most up-to-date, most knowledgeable care to patients like you.

Business practices mindful of the planet

Our purpose is to improve the health and well- being of people everywhere. To fulfill this goal, we must protect the environments in which we work and live. We have long recognized the critical interdependence between human health and the health of our planet. We understand that environmental degradation threatens human health, and that we have a responsibility to protect the environment.

To help us reduce our environmental footprint, we established Healthy Planet goals in the areas of energy use, water use, paper and packaging, waste reduction, product stewardship, biodiversity, and others. In developing these goals, we sought counsel from many stakeholders, including government officials, environmental groups, other companies and academic thought leaders. We are confident that our Healthy Planet goals will help safeguard the health of our planet.

Footnotes

Important information for contact lens wearers: ACUVUE Contact Lenses are available by prescription only for vision correction. An eye care professional will determine whether contact lenses are right for you. Although rare, serious eye problems can develop while wearing contact lenses. To help avoid these problems, follow the wear and replacement schedule and the lens care instructions provided by your eye doctor. Do not wear contact lenses if you have an eye infection, or experience eye discomfort, excessive tearing, vision changes, redness or other eye problems. If one of these conditions occurs, remove the lens and contact your eye doctor immediately. For more information on proper wear, care and safety, talk to your eye care professional, call 1-800-843-2020, or download the Patient Instruction Guides.
